Reporting Issues & Maintenance Policy
- All malfunctions or issues must be reported as soon as possible
- Once reported, a qualified professional will be sent to inspect and resolve the issue
Please note:
- If the issue is due to misuse or negligence, the cost of inspection and repair will be charged to the tenant.
- If no fault is found, the call-out may will still be charged.
Bringing Your Own Technician
- If you prefer to arrange your own repair:
- The person must be qualified and certified
- You must inform us in advance
- Receipts and documentation must be provided
Failure to follow this process may result in additional charges if further repairs are needed.
How to Change a Light Bulb
If a light stops working, it may simply need replacing:
- Turn off the light switch and allow the bulb to cool
- Carefully unscrew the old bulb
- Replace it with the correct type
- Turn the switch back on to test
If the issue continues, please report it.
How to Defrost a Freezer or Fridge
If you notice ice build-up or reduced performance:
- Turn off and unplug the appliance
- Remove all contents
- Leave the door open to allow ice to melt naturally
- Place towels to absorb excess water
- Once defrosted, clean, dry, and switch back on
Do not use sharp objects to remove ice, as this can damage the appliance.
Preventing & Fixing Drain Blockages
Drain issues are often avoidable with proper use:
Kitchen Sink
- Do not dispose of food, grease, or solids in the sink
- These can cause serious pipe blockages and long-term damage
To fix minor clogs:
- Pour hot (not boiling) water down the drain
- Use a plunger
- Use a suitable drain cleaner if necessary
Toilet Use
- Only toilet paper should be flushed
- Do not flush wipes, sanitary products, paper towels, or any other items
Improper use can lead to severe plumbing issues, and repair costs will be charged to the tenant
How to Remove Mold or Mildew
For small areas of mold:
- Ventilate the space (open windows or use extractor fans)
- Use a mold cleaner spray or mild bleach solution
- Wipe the area thoroughly
- Dry completely
To prevent mold:
- Keep areas well ventilated
- Reduce moisture buildup
- When showering open the window to let the steam out.
If mold persists or spreads, report it immediately.
